James Robinson Golf

Mid-handicap everyman reviews

Loved it

It should pretty much be impossible to duff this club

The cavity-back 56° with 14° of bounce delivers blade-level spin (9,000-10,000 rpm) with far more forgiveness, and James thinks most golfers should be using wedges like this.

+ the facts · 5 pros · 2 cons
  • +Consistent 9,000-10,000 spin and stable carries even on heel and toe strikes
  • +14 degrees of bounce makes it nearly impossible to duff, glorious turf interaction
  • +No trade-off found in spin, looks or distance versus bladed wedges
  • Toe strikes can fly a few yards further
  • Some golfers will find the larger cavity-back shape off-putting

For: The majority of amateurs who struggle with strike and confidence from 80-110 yards and around the greens
