these irons aren't going to magically make you play like Rory

A clean, compact elite-player iron with genuinely high spin and stopping power when flushed, but so unforgiving that she struggled on course and couldn't justify £1,200-plus for a set herself.

+ the facts · 4 pros · 4 cons
  • +High spin rates for real control, around 5,600 rpm with the 7-iron and impressive stopping power, shots pulling up within a yard
  • +Really soft, clean feel on centered strikes
  • +Compact, clean, professional look with a thin top line and a nostalgic nod to older TaylorMade irons
  • Very little forgiveness, mishits felt clunky, lost distance and got punished badly
  • Hard work on course, only about one in a few balls felt really well struck
  • Carry distances about a club shorter than her own set

For: Elite ball strikers, club pros, and plus handicappers who don't need forgiveness and want control over distance
