Master fitters, Trackman-heavy testing

Loved it

Vokey SM11 wins the blade category.

Fitters' Choice winner of the blade wedge category: lower launch, remarkably consistent high spin, and the industry's deepest grind, bounce, and finish catalog.

+ the facts · 5 pros · 1 cons
  • +Launched 2 degrees lower than the CBZ at the same loft with more spin, ideal flighted-wedge control
  • +Consistent spin in the mid-to-high 10,000s across shots
  • +Biggest catalog of grinds and bounces, plus new 44-degree option and modified K grind
  • Blade design retains less ball speed on mishits than a cavity back (1.11 vs 1.14 smash in this test)

For: Players who want a traditional blade wedge with low, controlled flight and versatility to open the face around the greens.

Liked it

Do they spin anymore? Not really.

After a fitting and a month of personal use they feel and look great, but he saw no meaningful spin gain over the SM10 despite the new groove tech.

+ the facts · 3 pros · 2 cons
  • +Feel great after a month of on-course use
  • +Deep fitting ecosystem with multiple grinds tailored to conditions and technique
  • +Tidied-up look with the model name moved to the hosel and a Wedge Works nod on the back
  • 5% larger groove surface area didn't produce noticeably more spin than the SM10 or other recent wedges
  • No extra grab out of the rough versus other new wedges

For: Vokey loyalists and anyone due a wedge refresh who gets properly fitted for grinds
