Loved it

The feel is fantastic... it's sensational

The updated blade keeps the sensational feel that has kept it in his own bag for four years, now in a modern satin finish.

+ the facts · 5 pros · 2 cons
  • +Sensational soft feel, second to none
  • +Beautiful clean compact look with thin top line and very little offset
  • +Modern satin finish updates the look without losing tradition
  • Low ball speed, as with most blades
  • Minimal forgiveness tech

For: The purist who wants a blade, especially in the scoring irons of a blended set

Liked it

It's just a treat to behold

A gorgeous, authentic muscle back he could game, but it shouts at you on every miss and only really makes sense inside a blended set.

+ the facts · 3 pros · 3 cons
  • +Wilson tweaked a design he loves without ruining it; still looks wonderful
  • +Sounds amazing with tons of feedback and huge spin that stops on the green like glue
  • +Less scary at address than a typical muscle back, e.g. a Titleist MB
  • Punishes anything that misses the middle
  • Firm feel, not overly soft
  • Realistically no golfer needs to play a full set of these

For: Purists and elite ball-strikers, ideally as the short-iron end of the blended Staff Model set
